Lets see your "Breeding Pens"

Without females to compete over the cock birds usually get along. Bachelor pads are the common means to address over abundance of males. The other method is to eat them. Really you only need a few cock birds per breed. One might be a hold over and one the finalist of new years breeding program. In line breeding you'll put some back with sire and cockerel over dam. Regardless. The breeding pens can be visited by the cock bird. Hens store up sperm so rotating the cock works quite well. Few days in this pen, few days in that pen and the cock covers all the pens while not disturbing the hens laying routine nor over breeding to point of bare backs. Single mating (one cock and one hen) or breeding trio would leave their backs bare if kept together for weeks on end.
