I am in Maryland in the DC Metropolitan area.  I sell my eggs for $3/dozen plus an empty carton.  People have offered me $4.  My eggs taste better and they like the way my hens are treated.

How did I go from 4 to 24 chickens?

I sell mine for $3 per doz to the local smoke house.  They in turn sell to the public for $4.99.  I also sell at the farmers market for $5 per doz.  I'm in southern Vermont.
