White Faced Black Spanish

I think you'd have to be careful with them up in Canada. They're Mediterranean birds and seem to relish the heat. Mine don't seem particularly tolerant of the cold. It could be because we're in Florida, but definitely do research about managing them in a cold climate. They're fragile, almost "flimsy" birds compared to our barred rocks and Delawares.

Mine are doing well as a whole, but I did have to rescue one from being egg bound last week. Of the two we purchased, one has never laid an egg and the other hasn't laid in three weeks. Does anyone know how long it takes them to start laying again after being egg bound? I'm reasonably sure I helped her deliver the whole egg and she is no longer in any distress. She was in bad shape for a couple days.

Gorgeous creatures, though. They're really starting to come into their faces. Varanisblack, have you had any trouble with laying issues in any of yours, since we got some from the same source?

Any tips on how to keep WFBS in Northern climates? I have what I think is a single pullet from McMurray, only two weeks old but already my favorite (she thinks I'm her mamma, so cute!).
