It's snowing in Florida ~

I just heard from relatives they heard (ok so this is 2nd or 3rd hand heresay) but it's raining iguana's and snakes. They get too cold and start dropping out of the trees

I hope it's been cold enough to kill off the fire ants!

All this cold weather should be good for my peach tree, it doesn't need as many below 40* hours as most other varieties to set fruit but I think the more cold the better its fruit will be. Most everything else I've planted is native and is handling the frozen mornings well.

I do hope a lot of the invasive exotic reptiles will get frozen out and decrease their numbers in our area. Our local farmers gamble with this weather each year & should know what steps to take to protect their crops. A lot of our citrus comes from other countries anyway so this freeze shouldn't affect our juice supply too badly.

We're supposed to get below freezing again tonight in West Palm Beach.
