Does anyone have one of those newer brinsea mini incubators? And if so, how do they work? I am looking to get a new incubator and was kinda leaning toward the brinsea. Has anyone used this brand/model and have any feedback on them. Thanks.

I successfully incubated my first eggs in a mini. I really like it. It keeps a constant temperature and loses very little when you hand turn because of the dome. Its perfect for up to 10 eggs, but not so many if they are very large. I have ameraucana eggs in it now.

I am approaching my first hatch with a brinsea mini eco. I am absolutely thrilled with it - holds it's temperature perfectly despite room temperature changes of 5 degrees or more.
The water reservoir is in the middle. You fill one half for humidity during incubation, and fill both halves to bump up the humidity for hatch.
It's a great incubator, and will probably help keep me out of trouble because of it's small capacity - harder to hatch too many eggs when the addiction's in full swing

Same here. Mine is in a room where the temps fluctuate somewhat. The mini is always consistent. I am really impressed with it. I have a hovabator and I have to watch it a lot more closely to keep it on target. I just feel the Brinsea's more reliable.

I love mine, my first and only hatch so far I set seven shipped eggs and had seven hatch right on time. Never had to tinker or worry, just kept the water topped up per instructions. Babies are eight weeks old now and causing all kinds of havoc so I know they are healthy.

Sounds like a good little incubator. I want something reliable that doesnt take a lot of tinkering or worry. I think I'll be ordering one this week.

You won't regret getting a Brinsea. I have the Mini Eco and have never used an incubator before. Yesterday and today I had four ducklings hatch, that was out of 5 eggs. I didn't have to adjust anything, just turn the eggs and make sure the water reservoir was kept filled. I would say it was a very good investment with enough features to help it be a success.

I thought that the limit was 7 eggs in the mini. How do you folks work orders? Do you order a dozen and incubate the ones that arent scrambled in shipping? Thanks.

Spore
