I wish you were up here! I've got some black pullets (recessive white) that I gotta get rid of to make way for my blue/splash/black babies!

Wish you were up here, I have a feeling I will be having a few extra blues to get rid of. I'm shocked about it too! I can't ship, unfortunately...let me look around and see if I can find someone in your area. I could have sworn there was someone in Washington that had them...

My babies have feathered legs & the legs seem longer. They are blue.1 is a bit darker.

Let's see your chicklets! These have long since passed on to the big coop in the sky thanks to the possums in Oklahoma...I've been keeping chicks that have heavier leg feathering. Gotta be careful as too much can lead to feathering down the middle toe.

Show them puppies off! :D

Got a picture of my two hatchery gals the other day. They are my biggest chickens (even bigger than my roo) and the strangest. They like to wander off together and stare at things. =)

Very nice pictures! How do you like them so far?

Sorry for the delay in replying,,,busy time of year for me

not sure about the molting, there are a few feathers in the coop but these are all in a mixed laying flock so who knows

as I recall there were 20mph gusts the day I took the pics so that might have played in,,,lol

there seems to be 2 lines of these blks in WI and maybe the Midwest, one lays a good sized darker egg, the other smaller tan eggs, I have 2 that lay the dark eggs, if/when I get a roo I will get them separated and only breed the dark egg layers

great birds no muss, no fuss, good foragers and really work in well with my flock,,,,,I do think they will still show some growth over the next few months

I think what you do is click the "image" icon in your reply box. A pop-up box will appear and ask you to choose your picture.

I see a light blue chick so far. But I'm looking at it on my phone.
