Most expensive breed?

I was just wondering: what is the most expensive chicken breed?

I'm not completely sure but i would say the Coronation Sussex would be one of the most expensive breeds.

I agree, the prices for rare colors of Sussex are Outragous !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The one that doesn't lay eggs and that you can't eat:lol:

3 children,1 AMAZING best friend/husband. 3 Std Poodles, lots of rabbits. Owner/Operator of Prairie Chick Poultry. Breeding toward the Standard of Perfection on the following breeds: Buckeyes, New Hampshires, Welsummers, BBS Cochins, White & Blue Silkies, and Easter Eggers.  NPIP MN#41-1143  Hatching and sales of all these.  Also, breeding Dark and WLR Large Fowl Cornish(limited sales). ON FB!

definitely the coronation sussex. i had been watching a few ebay listings for 6 eggs each and each time they listed they ended up selling for over $200 FOR JUST 6 EGGS!!!!

1 corgi, 1 cat, and about 25 chickens! oh, and 1 husband going 'clucky'!
future project: bantam cuckoo faverolles and bantam ermine faverolles! LF silver laced and ermine faverolles too!

The non -molting onagadori project birds sell pretty high too, $100 for a few eggs is very common
Also, depending if you class them as chickens or not, green and ceylon junglefowl sell at $600 per yearling pair as a starting price many are much higher..

I've seen Chocolate Orps eggs go for a rediculous price on EBAY in the UK auctions.   Some go for near a $100 per egg.  And that is an egg!  Boy that would suck to have a Bator spike when those were in there going.

Impayan- pheasants go for over $500 per bird.
Pretty easy to get to.
If your just talking about chickens I have no idea.
