Too much protein

Good thread. I just switched to doing this (21%) too especially because I've got a heavy Moult situation going on here and happy to report that I will be doing this for the next 12 months to see how my cooks are coping. in Portugal its difficult to get high protein feed but I will just buy in bulk when I get it. Im glad I found this thread as I was a bit worried...

The only problem I noticed is when the local feed store was out of the high protein feed and I bought a bag of flock raiser. Within a week, my drake was having leg problems. He had been attacked by a skunk years earlier and, even though he recovered, he has vulnerabilities. Low protein food has him limping in no time.
