As someone else wrote - it's location, location, location. Check your local farmers' market to see what eggs are selling for there. Then check supermarket prices. I sell mine easily for $4.00 a dozen, $2.50 a half-dozen. Since I use clear plastic cartons that can be sanitized and re-used, I give a $0.25 credit for returned cartons.
