Types of Pheasants:

Does anyone have a list of all the types of pheasants available? I never realized there was so many different types.

~ 1 White Silkie, 2 Black Silkies, 1 blue Silkie, several showgirl chicks, and silkies, 6 RIR, and dozens of dozens RIR chicks, 7 red golden lady ahmerst pheasants, 2 peafowl (1 black shoulder and 1 white I believe), 1 wonderful son, 1 wonderful boyfriend, and 1 wonderful boyfriend's son.
Selling: Showgirl chicks and Silkies and possible RIR (depends on convincing BF)

Not sure if you are looking for a complete list or just what is available for purchase in the USA.

Koklass Pheasants: several subspecies, fairly available.

Tragopans:
Western, not available in the USA
Satyr, fairly available but higher priced.
Blyths, extremely rare.
Temminck's most common of the tragopans, readily available.
Cabot, rare- becoming more available and costly.

Monals:
Impeyan or Himalayan, readily available.
Chinese, not available
Sclater's, not available

Gallo Pheasants:

Kalij Pheasants: several subspecies, fairly common. The most common ones are:
Nepal
White Crested
Black backed
Crawfurd's
Lineated

Firebacks: several subspecies. rare but available.
Malay Crestless
Bornean Crestless
Malay Crested also called Mayalan or Vieillot's Fireback
Bornean Crested, Greaters and Lessers.
Siamese

Wattled or Bulwer's Wattled Pheasant, extremely rare.
Swinhoe Pheasant, readily available.
Edward's Pheasant, rare but readily available.
Silver Pheasant, many subspecies of which one common type the "True Silver" is readily available.

When we introduced & started selling the Blue Ringneck (abyssinian blue color) to other breeders, there were many people that were trying to call their ringnecks somesort of Blue Ringneck so they could get higher prices. When we first started selling the Blue Ringnecks- they were selling for $250 to $350 per pair at auction.
