My dog keeps licking my other dogs ears. Help

Well the problem is our big dog is now shaking her head all the time.

She did have ear mites and I took care of them and still put the drops in so she doesn’t get them back. We just took her to the vets 2 months agao for the mites because we thought that was why the little dog was doing it, to clean out the ears. Nope

I feel bad that she’s always shaking her head. Yesterday I put Vaseline on her ears and the little dog licked them then went to licking his feet. I don’t think he liked the Vaseline.

I think I will try vinegar and if that don’t work the apple.

I have the same problem. I have labs also and the younger dog wants to lick the older dog's right ear all the time. The inside of this ear is pretty red and dry from all the licking. I've tried putting Bag Balm on it a time or two but he licks it off. Just the one ear.....

She's never had problems with her ears and I keep them pretty clean...I think he's just obsessive compulsive. He's always been a licker and I have to discipline him for this when it comes to humans but I'm not always there when he's doing his thing to poor ol' Lucy.

He is also a butt sniffer but this doesn't seem to do as much harm.......

My vet told me that the ear licking can contribute to yeast infections in the ear. It's a never-ending cycle. My older dog is sort of OCD about life. I figure the ear licking is part of that.

Apple cider vinegar is what I use to clean Jax's ears. It may just be my animals, but it hasn't stopped anyone from licking anyone else's ears. I don't know if Bitter Apple would be safe to use in the ears, but it would probably stop the licking.
I have a problem with dry skin and I use an oatmeal cream made by Aveeno. I have to hide my legs after I apply it or all three animals will gang up on me and lick my legs clean.

This is perfectly normal behaviour and by yelling at them you are interrupting a time of quiet friendship... Leave them alone, they know what they are doing - they are strengthening the bond between them, you should be delighted

I also have two labs and they one licks the others ears constantly, but their ears are clean, my yellow lab used to have ears like youve described black gooky stuff, wet, its food allergy, since I switched him to a no corn no wheat dog food all problems are gone, and my other lab, if he gets corn or wheat to much they start to become inflamed, a good solution is natural, its a mix of gentian vioilet, witch hazel and boric acid, its a miracle worker. any way, I am still to find something to stop the licking, Ill try anti lick spray thanks

My Golden just had a surgery due to the hematoma developed in his ear from my Aussie's constant licking. I just can't make him stop doing it.

My shit szu is soaking his brother's ears when licking them as if they've been dipped in olive oil! Horrible and wet to cuddle my pooch when ears are a state! What should I do? He's licking the apple cider vinegar and cayenne pepper off his brother's ears too!
