Just had to share pix of our girl. I am so proud of her as she isn't quite a year old yet & has done so well. She still has 3 chicken eggs & 2 pekin eggs under her (after throwing 2 eggs out that were no good) so who knows....we may have more babies on the way, but here are 2

They wouldn't come out at the same time.
Baby #1...who I suspect already will be a roo b/c he runs around & jumps out & tries to peck @ her eyes is a pure bred RIR out of my 4 that I have already sold (so that's nice)

And baby #2 I am *thinking* is out of my roo 'Betsie' who was my favorite roo who disapeared (by way of predator) and ?. Not too sure yet...we'll have to see as it grows up. Just found her today....so cute

Thanks for giving me a place to share. It's SO much cooler having her hatch them than an incubator

I just LOVE it!

Awww thanks so much guys! She's a special girl all right. She's one of my first chickens (the only one I have actually kept & not re-sold) b/c my husband named her Caroline as he said she looked like Sister Caroline...the lady who married us....this big ol' round boisterious lady...and boy does she!

He sure picked the right bird to claim obviously

She's such a sweet girl, it's odd to see her all puffed up & full of piss-n-vinegar around the other birds being 'broody' but I am sure she'll be back to her sweet self soon.

I thought she was pure Ameracauna, but she lays brown eggs, so I'm not exactly sure what she is... oh well, she's just great
