LOL......I'll be your chicken friend anyway.........smack

I see you have some new ducks. All I can say is......don't raise them next to your house!!!!! They will never leave!!!!
We had to give ours away last summer just to keep them out of the flowerbeds. They were literally digging up the foundation under the house somad

I'm having a pond dug on my 8 acres in the next 4-6 weeks (I hope) and I'm hoping to get them down to the pond about then when they feather out and such. The pond will be a ways back from the house so hopefully that's a good thing for the ducks. Although it will be a ways for me to go down there and check on them and feed them. It will also be a little hike when we come back up from fishing in it after we get it stocked with Catfish. big_smile

I guess I better keep an eye on my garden when I let them ducks out also then eah? Well maybe I should fence it in just to make sure the chickens stay out of there also.

I live out here by the Natchaz Trace & highway 20. Where are you at?

I live in Lillian.  I see people from Robertsdale, McDavid, and Mobile.  All are close by.  We just built another chicken house and we are expanding our flock.  One chick hatched this year and a chicken snake got the other two eggs.  I got the chicken snake.

We have RIR Bantams...1 roo, 2 hens, one chick.

So far I'm keeping all of them until I get another coop and another flock going. I'm so attached to these since they are my first flock! I've got more people wanting eggs than I have eggs to supply right now smile.
I'll keep your note though and let you know if I do decide to find any a new home when I get the new coop going.
What breeds of chickens do you have now?  I'm looking for some marans or black orpingtons for the new coop.
Take care!jumpy

Hey Ya'll,
It is sooo great to see so many from the great state of Alabama.  I'd love to meet some of you.  I live in Huntsville near Meridianvillle.  I see there are chicken folks in Madison and Owens Cross Roads.  My chickens were thrust upon me when my brother moved from Hazel Green to B'ham.  They are a delight and a curse.  I used to have a life before chickens!!!!!  (I would not trade them for anything now.)   One of these days we in North Alabama need to meet at a central watering hole and crow!
