Brewer's Yeast- OK for chickens?

It's also known as Nutritional Yeast. And yes I give it to my chickens, sprinkled on their treats often. I also sprinkle it on dog and cat foods. The animals love it.

We were giving them Calf-Manna, but it wasn't doing anything for them (and we were giving them more than the recommend amount because they all eat out of one big trough). We have them on Manna Pro Poultry Conditioner, to see if that will work....

Shadow,

Yes, for any type of leg problems yeast is the deal. It does not have to be brewer's yeast though. With the chickens that are prone to leg problems I just use regular Fleishmann's yeast.

Never heard about the fleas and ticks thing. I know in chickens the yeast is going to do a bit of good with external bugs. Of course with waterfowl you don't have that problem anyway. saladin
