I've never seen one with that color! Only white or white with black. It's a nice looking bird though.Hi all! Thought I'd revive this thread. I hatched out some Trader Joe's chicks several months ago, and they went to a friend of mine. She just sent me a picture of one of the roos. This is a TJ's chick, but it ended up having brown on it! Anyone else seen this in their TJ's chicks? He's so pretty.

I am in Portland and no one sells eggs labeled fertile. Uwajimaya in Beaverton sells pasture eggs that have the potential to be fertile. Tacoma Boys might also have pasture eggs. I get fertile hatching eggs from a local feed store.
one died within the last day or so. There was a blood ring and you could see the embryo just floating. Sad, but a part of hatching I guess.
Looks like an Austra White or similar mix. My ROck Island chicks looked sinilar at this age. This is what they looked like when I sold them.This TJ chick is 24 days old today. Any idea on breed or sex? It has three white splotches: One on the head and one on each wing.
