Doing good, I am living in Ireland now but still lurking here, haha! Miss California

Hi Bay Area BYCers! I hope everyone is doing well!

Don’t roll your eyes too hard, but I have found a place to source chicks from that I can live with, morally. I haven’t gotten new chicks in close to four years, because I couldn't live with myself knowing I contributed to an industry that goes completely against my moral compass. Anyway, I’ll have to drive about 2 1/2 hours each way to get them, but I think I’m going to order some chicks from Alchemist Farm. I’m excited!

Alchemist Farm looks awesome. If my husband and I ever decide to get chickens, we'll most likely get them from there.

I got some of my seramas from Alchemist, great place. All of them ended up being silkie feathered

Please keep us posted on how it goes if you go that route! Which chicks are you thinking about??
I almost got some Azure Eggers from them last year (at the last minute I canceled my order), but it's a good thing I didn't, since a few months later, we learned we have a Marek's positive flock. Unless I manage to source vaccine and find someone else to raise chicks for 2 weeks, I can't get any from there any time soon, but I still think about those cute Azure Eggers that I almost got...
