Hey Y'all! After a lot of waiting, our little flock arrived in the mail.  We just ordered four chicks, since we live in Oakland.  They arrived yesterday and we're smitten.

love.gif What breeds? Australorp and Ameracauna or EE? Are these your first chicks? First adventure in chicken keeping? I'll bet you're smitten!

Anyone near Sunnyvale have a couple of fake eggs? My Dorkings have decided to start egg eating and I want to put in some of the ceramic faux eggs to stop them. The ones on EggCartons.com are perfect but shipping is $11 for a $2.95 egg!

I don't know if you have a Hobby Lobby store in your area but they sell them. Check craft stores too. smile.png

Hi Anna,

 If you know anyone with small river rock you can just use them. Paint them white or whatever ifyou wqant but she won't care.....LOL. I bought some at the ceramic store near me if you have one near you. You will just need them in bisque not greenware if you don't do ceramics or have a kiln. They usually have them both ways.

 They have them on EBAY too.
