There are plenty of breeders here. What breeds are you most interested in? What breeds did you buy from the CL person?

Just got back from slipping the fertilized eggs under Veronica and Jane. I swear, Veronica started purring... It was so sweet. She's just so happy to have eggs under her! It's amazing how much space one little millefleur leghorn can cover when she's broody!

Thank you, Cheryl! The girls will be so happy to hatch out chicks.

Thanks all for the replies.  I had purchased 2 Black stars and 2 red stars.  I'm flexible in breeds.  I'm interested in Orpingtons, Marans, Ameraucana, but I am also interested in some of the more "rare" breeds--Icleandics, Isbars, maybe some bantams.

I'm located in the middle of Silicon Valley.

I have a lot of chicks hatched out and I even have a few hatching now that aren't due till friday. You can see the breeds I have on my page. There's a lot of OEs, EEs and some of my Lavender Egg project chicks, although I have them all mixed up for the most part and they are so similar I'm just letting them all go as EEs. I have some Silver Phoenix hatched also. One was the first out today and I have 3 others that hatched here and there during the week. You actually have a lot of people near you too that have several nice breeds and some of what you are looking for.

I breed pure English Orpingtons, my flock is the product of two different lines. I've got some eggs saved up that I plan on putting in the incubatore tonight, I should have chicks in a few weeks. You can see pictures of my birds on my website.

5. Blue Marans

I am in Oakland and around all weekend. Pickup only. All have been hatched here, and vaccinated for Mareks. My flock is closed. Let me know! Have a great holiday weeked - Allison
