Ok, so just talked to Robins Dad, and I was wrong about Emu laying season, I thought it was October-January, but apparently it doesn't start until May. I have eggs on reserve when they start laying, but the baby is Due in May, so I doubt I will have time to incubate.

Wolf, he said he has an adult pair available! Just think, you could sell the eggs to pay for the feed. He's selling them for $10 each, but I saw a set of two go on ebay for $43!

I may need someone's help... alot of you met my fiance Larry at the party...his father 96 yrs old just passed away and i'll be going down to Newport Beach where his mom lives (94 yrs old) on Wed or thursday. I have eggs in bator hatching on monday - wednesday. If someone is in the mood to take care of one-day-olds till my return probably sunday or monday after thanksgiving...let me know.

We also lost his sister this year...it's been an emotional roller coaster. I won't be able to travel long distances to drop them off and I'd prefer to keep them in one place. I might already have a solution, but please let me know if it is at all possible.

28 viable eggs in the bator now...

cheryl, if you need help, and you think I'm close enough, I'll help. I DO go to work on weekdays, though. If the babies are just hatching, how much taking care is there? Wouldn't they still be in lock down? (Assuming all eggs don't hatch out on Sunday.)

Are you needing someone to have a brooder set up? Or are you just wanting someone to keep an eye on the bator for any emergencies?

I'll be here through the hatch most likely, and then they will be in the brooder....they really just require making sure they are drinking...I poke their beaks in the water a couple times a day and then to check on poopy butt
