quail egg cutters

My favorite pickled egg is pickled beet eggs. Discovered them in PA. YUM! And they're so pretty! G -a jar of pickled beets, pour off the juice [eat the beets

], add an equal volume of white vinegar and sugar to taste, pour over the hard boiled eggs and refrigerate for 24-48 hours [depending on egg size]. Awesome - IF you like pickled beets. Fuchsia on the outside, pink white orange around the yellow yolk. Fantastic alone or cut for a beautiful garnish.

The cutters are a game changer, I smoke 7-8 cigars a day...would never use a cigar cutter over the egg cutter.

the egg cutter is much cleaner cutting on an egg, and most certainly cheaper than my cigar cutters.

like someone else mentioned you can get'em with free shipping pretty cheap. I only have one pair, I'll probably order another, because if the ones I have

broke or were lost, you can bet I would replace them.

The egg cutters are fantastic, well worth the cost. I would not use a cigar cutter.

If you really want to make a special treat, try making deviled quail eggs. It takes a little, make that a lot of time and effort but the rewards are great. They are a fun little taste treat and people love them.

I have a cheap cigar cutter that was given to me with a purchase of a box of cigars once. Plastic frame with a decent edge on the blade. It works great for the quail eggs I tried over the weekend. No egg shell bits in the pan.

This way I don't have to spend more cash on a single-use tool. I could understand why one wouldn't want to use a nice cigar cutter.

Man I must have eaten 45 last night, me and the wife made a passel of them and covered a large dinner plate in them, I ate half of those...

The egg cutters blade is "triangular" and the "point" first pierces the shell so it doesn't impart pressure across a larger surface of the shell. and after the first 10% the rest of the cut is a clean shear, whereas a cigar cutter cleaves. the cut has no anvil and from an engineering standpoint is more likely to make tiny fleks. But hey, a cigar cutter certainly works better than a steak knife and we've all done that, so whatever works for you, or "if you like it, I love it"

Oh by the way egg cutters people; I started cutting mine from the big end, on most it just cuts off the air pocket and no egg white is wasted.
