Broiler not using its legs *now skin is turning GREEN?*

Most of you checked out the post I made about the, what we thought was foot pad dematitis, which the chicken doc said was urine scald-and saw the pictures of Farmer.
Well he isn't doing so good for the last few days. He has stopped using his legs. At first he would stand for a bit then fall, which was why he was brought into the house but now his legs either flop out in front of him or one is in front and the other out to the side. He tries to use his wings to scoot around.
He has a healthy appitite and drinks ALOT of water (which I read was common in broilers) but his legs are just getting worse.
Anyone have any ideas?

But for the sake of some little mouthful of flesh we deprive a soul of the sun and light, and of that proportion of life and time it had been born into the world to enjoy. --Plutarch

That makes me think slipped tendon. If one get's paralyzed in front and back, that is a classic sign of mericks.

I'm no expert, there is always something to learn, and my birds are livestock, so... yes, I may be quite blunt. wink.png

I thought broilers are vac'ed against merek's...
And if its a slipped tendon is there any sort of treatment for that.
I feel so bad that these guys are having so many problems, and Farmer is the sweetest boy.

I hate to say it, But its probably best to cull. Meat birds are geneticly engineered for leg problems..The heavier they get, the worse the problem gets

Well if can still life a happy life, even without the use of his legs I don't mind bathing him and such. He scoots around and hangs out with us on the couch.
I just don't know if he's in pain or not and if so, what I would need to get at the vet for him.

I saw your picture on the "Doc's" web site.  What a sweet little chicken.  I hope you can help him out.
