okay, I live in a mobile home out in the country. I know what a dead rotting animal smells like. IT seem that something has crawled in the vents or under the trailer between the insulation and floor and died. I've looked in the vent, felt in the vents, crawled under the home(we have skirting on) and haven't seen a thing! The smell in our home is awful! What do I do!?!?! I can't find it and I can't see it! How do I get rid of this smell!!!!

UGG! I think you have limited choices.
Find the source
Wait it out
or
Cover the smell

Good luck

Imp- Do you have or can you borrow a dog to sniff it out?

My dad rebuilds repo's for a living. You have to locate the source and remove. Could be any pace and any thing. Cat rat possum coon. Then contact a body removal company. You can inquire of the local police who cleans up their crime scenes. Or if you have a company that repairs flood, fire, water damage. any of these can locate a product for you. It is in a bomb like form. (insect fogger bomb type) cant meber name but It is used to remove all smells. Human, animal, mold, mildew, smoke, rotting flesh, trash, etc...... It may take 2. they are bout $22 each and are small. You will need to pace it directly under a hole in floor insulation as close to the bodies location. You want the spray to fog up into the belly. between the floor and the insulation. This should remove the smell. If not you may have to remove the carpet and pad. paint all floor with kilz. This stuff seals the wood and keeps all smells out. This is what we do for houses used as dog pens. It works!

Good luck and God Bless!
Think its called smokeout or something!

we have had that happen many times dh crawls under the floor to where it smells like the oder is around, he had to tear all of the insulation out from under the floor cause rats were getting in it and dying that way he didt have to get in it again
