That is awesome! Are the eggs shipping in the same box as the chicks? I've often thought that would be the safest way to send eggs!

I'm actually only buying eggs. I think she mentioned the chicks to establish that her eggs are fertile (and to offer me the option). But I prefer to go through the 21 days of agony waiting for them to hatch and then worry like mad when they actually DO hatch. tongue.png

Here are some more of my silkies, what do you think?

Here is a splash pullet, she should start laying at any time

And my black rooster... His crest is a little bigger but its pushed back from drinking

[IMG]http://i1140.photobucket.com/albums/n569/chickencrazy96/Silkies%20at%20dads/silkies004.jpg

His legs and feet are very dark and lots of feathering on his feet and legs, nice toe spacing.

Ill be selling eggs and chicks from this pair and the splash hens mom when the pullet starts laying.

How big can silkies actually get.  Some of mine are a good 3 or 4 inches taller than others. They are all 10 months old .

In chickens, size is determined by weight, not height, so the real question is what weights are you talking?  US silkies are bantams, and the standard calls for 36 oz, cocks, 32 oz  hens and cockerels and 28 oz pullets.

I don't think none of my silkies are that small.

You might be surprised.  A properly sized silkie is larger (in volume) than you might think.
