Sharing a few more...now that they got their own coop, I find myself spending a little too much time with them. What can I say...I love my Silkies!

ok. Here is the silkie egg on the left and a grocery store size large on the right. I honestly thought they would be MUCH smaller!

I GOT BABIES!

Today is the beginning of day 21, and I woke up to 3 babies! A couple more eggs are starting to hatch now.

I took a pic of some of my eggs too, pardon the dirt, I had just brought them inside after a rain. The brown in the middle is a Black Copper Marans egg, and they usually range from Large - Jumbo, this one looks like a Large size. The rest are Silkie pullet eggs! The thing I found odd about the Silkie eggs, is the fact that their yolks are almost as big as the Marans eggs! Good eating too....if you aren't hatching them!

I had these 6 babies born last Friday and Saturday! The little Black one in between the Partridges, wasn't too keen on the photo shoot. They were rudely awakened by my noisy camera, and I swear I saw some "baby stink eyes" in there!
