I love the cobby bodies. Very nice birds. I'm no expert but I think their great!

I'll start with the 5 month old blues and work my way down. Here are a few to start the guessing game.

I'm only going to post 4 at a time.

I hatched out 37 new babies last weekend and another 17 on Wed. and Thursday! I haven't even added them to the count

Peaches or Pit shall we call it lol is going to be 4 1/2 months is that too soon for a rooster to be able to fertilize a hen... We dont no surprise fertilized eggs ... I haven't sold the whole baby chicks hatching to my husband ... Hence we'd have to return.... hmm.png

in silkies you typically don't see the boys wanting to breed til about 6 months, some a bit earlier, some don't act boyish til almost a year old.

If you collect your eggs every day, you'd never even notice fertilized eggs. It takes 3 days of 80-90 degree temps before development is readily noticed ( that small spot on all eggs even store bought will have a really defined circle, bit a tiny bit bigger and have some tiny veins) on a yolk of a cracked open egg.  It takes 21 days for a chick to hatch, so even with a roo as long as you don't pop eggs in an incubator or let a hen go broody on eggs, you won't have to worry about chicks or anything.

not really; especially not when we're talking youngsters.  Tails take a long time to grow.  By the time tail size would make a difference, there would be many other obvious clues.
