This is Sissy(left) and Sugar(right) battling it out. They've about got the pecking order established now.

I will get some more pictures later.

I sure feel bad for your pretty little flock in the heat. If your humidity isn't too high, soaking the ground in the shade will help. Hope it cools down soon!

I think I've decided to leave my poor little Silkie's fused toes alone since at 2 weeks, s/he's getting around just fine. Also, my Silkies seem pretty skittish. They're hatchery babies and we've had them for 2 weeks (since they were a day old). Every day I feed them by hand but they're still really skittish. Is this normal?

In April 2012, I wanted two chickens. I took home 6. I now have 32. What happened? Also, I'm a work at home mom of one amazing toddler boy and 4 awful rescue dogs that I love way too much.

Wouldn't help here, FL is almost always high humidity, so it would become a steam bath :(

I'm considering a mist system

They're bad enough that I know there is nothing I can do at this point. Will the chick be okay? S/he doesn't seem hindered in any way - s/he keeps up with the other 16 just fine but I don't know if s/he'll always be that way? I did a search for this on here and only came up with one other person with the same issue but there were no comments on the post. Here are some pictures:
