I just put 21 RSL chicks in the grow out pen with the silkies (it also houses my broodies and injured hen with a bad leg) and I caught one sleeping on his back last night while he was standing there. It was the cutest thing ever!

Those are definite personality traits I want to pass on. So far all of the babies are better quality then their parents.

A breeder I know said that sometimes lower quality birds throw better quality offspring than high quality parents. It's all about matching the pairs up properly. I guess you can think of it the same way in humans. I know a few really good looking couples that have really ugly kids, and vice versa wink.pnggig.gif
