Sanna

Love you tinker web page!
I have been bitten by the silkie bug, frizzle Cochins, polish and my tiny babies I think are banams! Ouch. But I do love them all! I also have my rode island reds for the eggs. Husband is spoiled now and won't eat store bought eggs cuz he says they taste freezer burnt!...lol. I have also got two of my kids addicted to those bugs named above! My daughter for her birthday feb 15 is wanting hatchling showgirl and silkie eggs!

There are several things that could cause this...a Vit E and selenuim deficiency, an ear infection, a disease or neurological damage. Some folks try giving 400mg capsules of Vit E, 3 times daily along with 1/2 dropper of PolyVisol children's vitamins without the iron, once daily. If the bird can not eat or drink you may have to help hand feed it by holding on your lap and gently providing a cup of food and water, a little at a time. If that doesn't work, then giving feed and water through a syringe may be needed. Some folks have even used Prednisone, but I have never tried that.

You got good info re" silkie syndrome"   - either it's a vitamin deficiency or a blow to the head. If your silkie has a vaulted crest it is more vulnerable to injuries. The vitamin regimen etc. usually works after a time.  Sometimes a vet will prescribe prednisone  if it's head injury.

It's nice when the husband is spoiled due to fresh eggs. That means you can have more chickens! lol And when the whole family is addicted, even better. lol.png

GREAT pictures, all of them!! These two are my favorites. How did you come up with these angles? You must have been crawling on the floor or you had the chicks somewhere on your eye level? I love it.

That's what I'd like to know also.

They were on a surface, and I was floor level :) Plus I have an amazing camera. I love it <3

Thank you for the compliments!!

Sanna, love your website. Looks really nice!
You can see mine in my signature. :) I've been working on it for a couple months now on and off. Right now I'm focusing on a facebook page as well. Started that up 1 1/2 weeks ago and already have almost 250 likes. It's awesome! :D

I fell down the stairs on the way to the barn today. I HATE winter. My neck is killing me now. Hopefully it doesn't last.

I just got myself a really nice camera, just haven't had a chance to really test it out. One of these days I will. big_smile.png I should get much better shots than what the old one gave me.

Your website is great! Someday, I'll make mine much more detailed. For right now, I was just farting around with it. lol.png I might make a page on Facebook too for the fun of it. Maybe when the spring chicks arrive and I'll have more to show.

I hate winter also. I, luckily, haven't taken a digger myself but the boss did. A bad one. I hope your neck feels better soon. Those sorts of things are never fun.
