Ameracauna Mom:  what color do you call the Splash Roo with the buff on his shoulders??  I have one just like him, and kept him because I just LOVE him, but was told he was a "mutt" because of the buff.

I had a group of them shipped in last fall, HE was suppose to be a porcelian hen, but turned out to be a rooster. He is from a porcelian breeding group..

Good Job Horseshoe Creek!  I love the big top knot puffs, but  I don't want them to be handicapped in finding food and navigating the coop. This pony tail is a great idea. Now if I can just get mine to stop squirming long enough to do it.....

May all your eggs be fertile,
   May your predators be few,
May your hens be fat and happy,
And your ribbons all be blue.

I can tell what colors I've got now big_smile a partridge and two buffs, they look like colored cotten balls with heads, I think they are so cute, but the rest of my family....says the U-word hide I took some pics with my phone, but they did not turn out so good this time.

Does it take longer to sex them then other breeds?

Crazy Lady--until a Silkie crows or lays an egg--you're never sure of the sex...
