Icelandic Chickens - Page 1309

Working night shifts this week, and I just woke up about an hour ago.

Glad to see the pictures and see you all here!

Kathy, Here's how I kept Elska from taking off during the calendar shot.  It still took 41 tries to get the one I posted on the Easter Hatchalong thread and I'm not completely happy with that one. The lighting was bad.   I was alone though and keeping an Icelandic in one place while taking a picture is next to impossible!!  I hope others will try it though!!!

She is hideous Mary send her to me.She can live her life out here(I her).

Nope, can't do it...sorry.....if she ever goes anywhere else, it will have to be to Kathy's............otherwise she'd hunt me down!! 

Daron:  I really hope that the test results are good news for you,  I am going through the same thing here:(  AND it seems the Icelandics are the ones affected most by whatever they have:*(.  Trying to find a vet to run some tests to determine the cause, but my normal "companion animal" vet wanted $150+ to send samples out to a lab.  That just sounds a bit ridiculous!  So I will see what another vet can do tomorrow.

Really breaks my heart to think of having to cull EVERYONE.  Not only the Icelandics, but a couple of my old ladies from my first batch of chicks ever.

Where the heck has Laree disappeared to?  Mahonri, you do know you can't completely steal her for your hatch-a-long's right?

Are these the ones my eggs are going to come from! Oh they are nice! I hope the roo throws a look-a-like son! Thanks again!
