Kathy, that baby is so cute! What a precious face. When I scrolled by too fast for a moment I thought he was in a dumpster!  I thought, "OMG, they threw away a perfectly good baby!"  gig.gif Try it for yourself, scroll real fast!

The fence plan looks great Kathy. Get 'em close to the road so they can race cars. Keeps them from chasing chickens. yesss.gif

We don't have trees but we have granite outcroppings all over. The emus are really good at navigating around them. They do love to walk and run the fence line so if you can orient it when they have a long stretch without obstacles you'll have fewer head injuries. gig.gif

Yesterday a lady going down the dirt road slammed on the brakes when the emus gave chase. It was hilarious.

With that proposed fence, it looks like that was a very expensive pair of eggs you hatched Kathy!!  Just that the expense is all coming after the hatch.. lau.gif

No I didn't. I was working in the pasture when it happened. All the neighbors are used to them racing but newcomers are surprised. It is even cuter now that the girls race too. One of my neighbors has her house on the market and that has increased traffic so they get to race new people now.
