I took a break from the million-posts-an-hour Easter Hatch thread to pop in here and I'm so glad I did.

Plus which, for all I know the emu's could have frozen to death a half hour later. But of course, NO photos of that!

Mary should put up warning signs - "Drive slowly - emus watching."

It should be a great day, I am looking forward to it. I hope to meet some of the faces that go with the names I see here.

Oh Kathy, they are a riot. How do you get anything done? I'd just sit and watch Emu TV all day.

Pardon me, but is that a roasting pan they are bathing in? ep.gif

Adorable pics, they look happy.

Breeding Welsummers and Barnevelders.

Having an Icelandic in the coop is like having a 2 year old in the house - they are into everything and don't follow the rules.

I have zero chicken willpower.

Why, yes. Yes, it is. I don't know where it came from either, but it makes a perfect emu baby bath tub.  gig.gif

Do they know that they are really Hansel and Gretel and mean ole Kathy is fattening them up for dinner? lau.gif

This is mainly for Mary, but I thought the rest of you would get a laugh from it.  This is a 2 DAY old welsummer cockerel crowing.  I guess he thought he needed to beat his daddy that started crowing at 4 DAYS old.
