Icelandic Chickens - Page 1410

Yeah Kathy, well I did that today. I know you are going to freak but I ordered the Brinsea Ova Easy 190!  I know, I know. I hate Brinsea. But here are my reasons. Everything comes with it, no need to buy the door, bucket, egg trays, etc separately. Also, the sidewalls of the Brinsea are double walled and insulated plus the door is dual pane. I think those things will all help since I am going to be incubating in the screen room. Lastly, I HATE the ugly white bucket that sits on top of the Sportsman. This is my sun room for crying out loud. Plus, if you look carefully in the pictures I posted, I decorated the sunroom to go with the Brinsea yellow!  Oh, the Martha in me is so strong. But you can bet your life I am mailing in the danged registration card even though it is illegal to require it.

I just checked the Hovabator which was stable at 101.8 this morning and chugging along at 106.8 just now!  I guess I cooked most of those 88 eggs!

Oh, and I cleaned the Icelandic coop this morning and scared Lukka off the nest!  Hopefully she stays off. I hadn't given her the cream legbar eggs yet so no harm, no fowl.  gig.gif  If she goes back in the next ten days or so she can still have them.

Please don't hate me! You can tell me "I told you so later about the Brinsea."

Mary

Darling video Kelly! Kathy those pictures are adorable. Isn't it sweet how the baby emus follow you everywhere? I could walk mine down the road and they would stay right with me. I am surprised your boy didn't take a swim. Mine can't resist swimming in anything they can shove their butts in!

I have a little story to tell you.  I set 100 Aloha eggs that traveled from AZ to KS, I was hoping that I would get about 30 or so.  82 are growing.....

No, no, no.  I have a feeling that you were just giving them a jump start!  Now we know your secret how they hatch 2 days early.  wink.png

Hopefully they are all ok.  When is your cabinet due?

What in the world are you going to do with so many chicks???gig.gif

Mary, I love the addition. It looks wonderful. Sorry about the fried eggs. hugs.gif

Kathy, I loved seeing all the pics of the Emus. I would be so worried about stepping on them when they are that little. I am glad Mike likes them. I could see Bryan falling in love with them too. Good luck with the worming. That is probably something I should do.
