I've enjoyed everyone's picture, videos and stories for a while. Now I can share one of my own. Sunday, after we finished our chores, my wife and I decided to go to breakfast. When we returned home, we discovered a Viking horde in our buck barn.

Beautiful pictures Kathy!!!

My BR, Dusty, has been on the nest all day..............and drawn blood.................my blood.  I've arranged for the little witch to get some eggs.  There's another breeder of wellies that has qualities I want to add to my flock.

Breeding Welsummers and Barnevelders.

Having an Icelandic in the coop is like having a 2 year old in the house - they are into everything and don't follow the rules.

I have zero chicken willpower.

Congrats on the broodies Kelly. I am trying to bust mine but it doesn't seem to be working.   hu.gif

I lost my flock of goslings today. Kelly and I were talking on the phone and I saw the family walk up my driveway, around the house, and down the dirt road. I think a neighbor herded them into her goat pasture. I am heartbroken. I wanted to watch them grow up. I hope they come back but I don't have much hope. She has penned Canada geese and baby deer before.

Nice pictures Kathy. I love broody pics just not broodies, at least not right now.  barnie.gif
