Breeding Welsummers and Barnevelders.

 

Having an Icelandic in the coop is like having a 2 year old in the house - they are into everything and don't follow the rules.

I have zero chicken willpower.

I just went outside to go up to the granny flat.I heard baby chicks in distress. I found the two cream legbar babies I had given to Raven abandoned in the new nest I moved the three of them to and she was back in the nest box. So I gave one shivering chick each to Raven and the splash Isbar. I am going to have to monitor that situation closely. The good news is that the broody Welsummer left the nest after the brouhaha that ensued when I took those last pics and she is still outside. Please stay outside Chatty Cathy. My head hurts and my legs can't take much more running back and forth out to the coops. 

 

I am trying to clean the granny flat because my neighbor Nikki wants fro rent it from July through December. I am showing it at 2:30 today and went up to see if it needed dusting. The grandkids left two sinks full of dirty dishes last time they used it! barnie.gifSo I am now doing dishes, dusting, sweeping, mopping, etc.
