Icelandic Chickens - Page 1481

My really bad fray (or whatever it is) girl I was going to rehome, as she's smaller (looks like a roadrunner) and tends to be by herself a lot.  Also I was worried about her being weak and possibly being susceptible to illnesses. (or being a predator magnet here)

But the last 2 nights I've gone out to the coop and she's roosting with the big birds.  Now I'm conflicted.  I don't know what to do.

Breeding Welsummers and Barnevelders.

Having an Icelandic in the coop is like having a 2 year old in the house - they are into everything and don't follow the rules.

I have zero chicken willpower.

I think they are fine for layers (or broodies). Just not for breeding.

I dunno..... that's a tough choice, since she is smaller and a loner.

Well, I'm not breeding them, so that's not an issue.
