Icelandic Chickens - Page 1589

My "used" Janouel incubator is humming along without a glitch. I have 22 Isbars eggs in there due to hatch tomorrow. Unbelievably the replacement incubator arrived today! It was essentially an overnight with Saturday delivery! I plugged the new one in and it was up to temp and humidity in no time at all. The first six Icelandics went on lockdown today so I am moving them into the new Janouel. I am quite nervous about it but the hatches in the Brinsea haven't been great. The incubation is superb though. My Icelandic flock rebuilding is dependent on a Chinese incubator!

Nope, haven't touched them.  She was on the nest all night, so I didn't want to disturb her.

Having an Icelandic in the coop is like having a 2 year old in the house - they are into everything and don't follow the rules.

I have zero chicken willpower.

Sorry about your little guy, Kathy, I hate it when things like that happen.

Note: don't upload pictures with a Blackberry. It took me an hour and it looks like the pictures are small.
