I had two like that, one is still with me, and it looks normal now.

Keeper of 27 hens,  4 PW Leghorns, 1 leghorn mix, 1 FBCMarans, 1 Australorp, 1 Buff Orpington, 1 Mama Olive Egger, 1 Olive Egger broody, 1 EE, a Barred Rock, a RIR, a CQ, 1 Delaware, 1 Black Star, a Splash Ameraucana, 3 W/BW Ameraucanas, 5 polish, 2 Welsummers and exactly 63 chicks of various breeds. and 25 eggs in the bator. YIKES!

Well mine is staying with me too because he is as cute as a bug's ear.  Hopefully he is a girl and can live in the layer coop and not carry on that genetic trait.

Icelandics,brought to Iceland by Vikings in the 9th century, winterhardy, freeranging, an ancient homestead breed that broods, a steady producer of white eggs.Very variable in color,  comb style  and feathering. Like Forest Gumps box of Chocolates, 'You never know what you are going to get". My  Homesteader Breeds;  Icelandic Chickens, Chantecler,  Delaware and Iowa Blues.

The one that is no longer with me was the one I helped out and if failed to thrive....

How often does this happen?  I cant recall ever seeing it before, but with the variety in Icelandics you just never know.

Anxiously waiting on the April temps moderation to get eggs and chicks.  Brooders to build and begin to build the pens. Thats about all April, our snow is just slowly starting to disappear.

Kathy, wow, what a variety!

How do you plan on grouping them for breeding? Roos and hens with like coloring together, or...???

Well, Jeremy, since most of them are males, there won't be much mating being done!  lol

I do not pen them in any certain way. I put them all together. I doubt that I will change that, even though I may change out the males from time to time.  I kinda like the variety I am currently getting though.
