We have a bantam roo who is only mean towards my wife. He never approaches me.
She has picked him up, forcing love is what she calls it. We've even tried carrying him by his feet in front of the girls.
If she sees him coming, she will kick at him. One time even sending him flying down the hill. Yet he still persists.
If I'm in the lot taking care of water and feed, he goes to the other end. But she's even been attacked while feeding and watering. The last time this happened, she snatched him up by his tail feathers and slung him up against the fence.
Like I said, he never approaches me.
Any ideas? We're both approaching 60 years of age, so catching him can be a challenge. But if she does, his neck will be rung...
Oh yeah. We have a game hen that he has been brutal with. Tearing out part of her comb, and not just plucking feathers from the back of her neck, but even tearing flesh and leaving nasty looking wounds.
