If anyone has cold hardy, breeder quality Turkens - tell me. bow

Anyway, here's the only two that made it past 4 months:

Gallidia, died last month. She was alive the last time I posted these pics. hit

Okay, can I just say the red skinned ones FREAK me out!  ep

That being said, I finally gave in & ordered a few hatchery ones...just for fun.  They'll be arriving in March.  My hubby's gonna think they're diseased, I'm sure.

SPECIALIZING IN:  Jersey Giants.  Black Copper Marans.  Silver Penciled Plymouth Rocks.  Isbars.  Click to view my website.

Just for fun:  First & second generation "olive eggers," and a few ducks - Welsh Harlequin, Black Swedish, Black Runner.

Oh, I am soo glad there are other people that love Naked Necks! None of mine are purebred (I have 4 currently). I actually bought them by mistake at an auction last year. I don't remember what I thought the auctioneer said they were, but they were the best "mistake" I ever made. I LOVE my Naked Necks!!!

Mr. Rooster has been extremely active with all of my hens... including my RIRs, amber links, blue orpingtons, salmon favorelle, and cuckoo, buff, and splash silkies, and other Naked Necks. I am testing fertility right now, and hope to be able to send out some test eggs in the near future.

ETA: He is also active with my EE. Wouldn't that be a fun cross!!!

Illia, I wish you were closer... But if you're ever interested in trying Naked Necks again, let me know. They really are fun to have around, and I honestly consider them my "Eye Candy"!!!

I have various chickens - including "RIRs", Turkens, Silkies, and EEs, Anconas, Cornish, Brown Leghorns, etc. I always have some sort of project going on - right now we're raising a batch of meaties. 4 rescued dogs. 4 rabbits, including 2 English Angoras! We also are branching out to Turkeys - right now 4 BBB, but 4 Midget White Turkeys are on the way!
