OMG, everyone has so many beautiful birds! And the baby pics are precious!!!!! (I especially like the Mama with her little ones eating out of a little trowel.)
Please, more photos, more photos, more photos!!!
I'm very sorry for my incredible powers! Next time I will Unless I see a bunch of the desired sex... ;)
Get a picture of that comb if you can. Never saw anything besides single comb from hatchery stock, so if it's really something else it would be quite the exception.
Fascinating how all the peaks and valleys are similar for all three chicks. Do they correspond to a change in environment or diet?
Actually, the X axis represents 13 different chicks, and each line is a subsequent week's weighing - so the peaks are actually just individual chicks who are growing faster than the others (Tank is the one in the middle). I know, it's a pretty non-standard way to represent the data, but I thought it was interesting looking. After the 4 week weighing I'll have 4 data points for each, and I'll give each one it's own proper growth curve line...
I got photos of the chick with the different comb (I am very unpopular now). I have zero in-person experience with non-single combs, but I think it's a rose comb from example photos I've looked up. It's only become obviously different in the last several days.
There were two attempted jail-breaks within a couple hours today, Tank being the instigator (found them standing on top of the net on the brooder on my way out the door, and then again when I walked in). These chicks are BEYOND ready to move outside...
