A whole lot depends on what is in tge background.
My Black crossbred hen that I bred to my single barring gene Black Sex Link NN rooster produced from 4 that hatched that I kept were as follows:
Cockerel: Brown Red
Cockerel: Golden Birchen.
Cockerel: Don't know what to call it dark nearly black with dark red and creamy/white color all mingled together.
Pullet: hatched a partridge color not turned out to be a barred partridge.
All 4 were a different color and there were no solid black ones.
The crossbred hen was a Black Jersey Giant dad and mom was an EE/Production Red Cross.

I think they are probably BBR as the original cross was with brien leghorns if I'm not mistaken.
I think CCL roosters carry only one barring gene. Just don't quote me on that because I'm not totally sure.Edited by draye - 12/11/15 at 1:58pm
