Glad it's healing. Triple antibiotic ointment is amazing, so is the chickens ability to heal. I had one NN chick get scalped. It was distressing for me to see. I put triple antibiotic ointment on it twice a day and immediately saw results. I don't think we had the same thing going on. I'm just glad that both sets of birds are healing and doing well.

Flower-  no, I didn't know that :)

KKH-  It doesn't look like we did, but I sure am glad we both are seeing results.  I am also glad that I haven't seen it on any of the others.   A scalped chicken does sound very DISTRESSING!!!!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!!

Well, here's a little light relief.

One of my Brahma hens has gone broody (found her sitting on 5 La Flèche eggs). As I haven't yet separated my breeds up, the fathers could be anything (if any hatch)....BUT....I have 3 NN roos (Melvin....pure bred, no bow tie, Arian....funny little grey fellow...splash feathers, and Gordon....who needs no introduction).

With a bit of luck I will have some Naked Flèche to show you soon.....

I hope everyones birds are doing great! My NN are doing great and are little pigs! I did have pictures to upload, but it wasn't posting them.

Anyway it seems like I have around 15 cockerals.. (Of course! roll.png )

I have a couple pullets out of each color and I seem to have a White NN cockeral or a very very very light marked splash cockeral (has a single comb) and I'm going to be putting him in with my Coronation Sussex hen when he gets a little older.

I may have to upload the pictures on photobucket and just post a link here.

I hope you all have a great day today!

, I've been dying to see your birds since they're just a wee bit older than mine. I originally had 7 birds from our split order. I then purchased 2 from one of the others. So glad that I did because they ended up being pullets. My count now is 5 boys, 4 girls. Unfortunately, I didn't end up with any blues. I'm giving the cockerels to someone who will be breeding them with her NN girls from Dipsy Doodle Doo . So I have one black with very little bow tie and three splash. Two of the splash have light grey legs and one has green. My splash cockerel both are lavender with dark splashes of blue here and there. Very pretty. Did you get any pullets that color? Just wondering if it shows up in the girls.
