Its so funny you mentioned that...I was going to but then thought "may be its just kids here"!
Ok, I don't consider myself old, I am 30, but when I went to school (and it was SMALL) we never got "supply lists" after middle school. I mean all we needed in high school was pencils and notebooks.
When I was working at WM I had to set up the stands of all the local supply lists and I saw those $100 calculators on 6th graders lists! WTH do they need those for? We weren't allowed to have ANY sort of calculator in class.
