FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!! - Page 695

I'm out here in Jacksonville, Florida so welcome!

I do have a question:

Where do you purchase your organic chicken feeds? I'm looking, but it doesn't look like I can find any without ordering online which is just a tad bit painful! Closest is Gainesville which is a 2.5 hour drive!

I know most local feed stores will order it for you, but it is pricey to say the least. I will be watching the replies you get on your question in hopes someone has a great source for organic feed.

Florida farmer. Wife to Popeye. Mom to 2 sons. We breed & sell LF, dual purpose breed poultry. Marraduna Basque Euskal Oiloa, White Orpington, Heritage Rhode Island Red, adding Black Orpington and Rhodebar. We also breed & sell Glouchestershire Old Spot and Berkshire pigs. I have a mob of Emu that are not yet in production until the fall of 2013. It is a busy yet rewarding pursuit of happiness.

None of my feed stores carry organic anything, so they aren't going to be ordering any. The closest I can find is "All-Natural" feed. I will only have 6 chickens so I guess the 50lbs would last me awhile, but it'd still be better if I could find it cheaper locally in case something happened like ants or such.

Just posted an ad on Craiglist, so we'll see the hits I get.

Go to page 1.

Welcome!!! Not sure about the organic feed, but I would suggest that you look for a local feed mill. There is sure to be one close, and they might be able to help. .stan

Just an idea but maybe you could find a recipe for making your own feed on this site if you don't have too many birds.

Much love!
