Leghorns are great egg laying chickens. They are friendly to other Leghorns and can easily fly. The only problems is that they are bad in the pecking order and they can make a mess of the yard....

seem like a good breed, if i had the room i would probably raise a batch of them they seem like they would be a good 4h starter show bird...considering i dont see many of this breed in my class...

Hi Fuzzy Butts,

Had to say it, just love the name change.

Guess what I have, 7 two week old chicks. One of my Wellies went broody. So I put some under her. I have 1 Lavender Ameracana X FBCMaran, 4 Welsummers X FBCMaran, and 2 Dominique X FBCMaran. Can't wait to see what they grow up to be.

And tonight I think I have another one going broody.

. Don't know if I am going to set any or break her yet.

It's a French Black Copper Maran. So I hope it's a pullet. Then I will have a dark olive egg.

Yes, she is in with him now. Will have to wait and make sure I have a broody to set eggs under. I don" t have a bator. And I think the moms do a better job.
