hey crazy hatching person.  this year I am doing mostly eggs and I have lots of purebreds.  I even ended up with a standard size easter egg roo (thought it was a pullet). I love him and hope the neighbors will be ok with him.  you can hear him 3 houses away    I have 2 blue ee hens and a gold and white ee hen.  so    hoping I get to keep the big guy. so far the neighbors we have talked to like the crowing.  go figure

this is the link for the 2 agway swaps that are being held march 27 and 28. on post number 7 I have my egg info.  right now they are $6.00 per doz. when I seperate into a doz of each breed, the price will go up.

I am not set up for hatching, I need and want to get an incubator. If I dont have one or two by then.. i will definitely take a look at what you have. Id really like a white frizzle  and then a splash silkie.
One question though... frizzles are not all bantams, correct? Its just a genetic defect on the feathers?

any breed can be frizzled.  the hatcheries sell bantam cochins. 
I plan to put some eggs in the bator in the next few days.  I should have some white frizzled chicks in a month.

yup, 1 bator not 3, and no more than a doz a week.  would like to see some of my kids but do not want to get overwhelmed

 
Chickens are like Lays.  Bet you can't hatch just one.   

I have 2 silkies who went broody yesterday.  right now they are sitting on wooden eggs to prove to me that they are serious. thinking of giving them real eggs tomorrow
