Turkey laying season

If it's safe and eggs are fertile.

Leave her be if you want babies.

If you have some place safer you want her to nest move eggs and her there.

You could collect the eggs but she will probably move the nest to safer in her mind location. But will be harder for you to find.

If you want to incubate remove eggs but replace with fake eggs or chicken eggs so she will keep laying in the same spot.

I'm new here so hopefully I've put this question in the correct place! I'm in Kansas and I keep my turkeys in with my chickens- they free range over 2 acres. My blue slate hen sits in the coop all day and my chickens will climb in with her (somehow) and lay their eggs in her box. The turkey will sit on their eggs and is all broody but I haven't gotten an egg from her in several weeks. My question is- do I need to break her from this so she will be inclined to lay her own eggs and brood them? I do remove the chicken eggs from under her every day. I've got a red bourbon hen that hauled off to the barn and laid her first 4 eggs ever and has been sitting on them since. They should be due by the end of this week.

Thanks in advance and I love this forum! I turn here first whenever I need a question answered and most of the time I can find the answer on here already without asking it myself! :)

Turkeys lay eggs until they have a clutch, then they will set on them once they have their total. They then set on them for 28 days and all will hatch within 24 hours. But if you take there eggs they wont set on them. Just leave the eggs.
