A black cockerel, hatched by my broodies, and a silver duckwing. The SDW was the first chick I hatched this year. Now, I can barely grab him across his back. He's built like a bowling ball.

Your rooster looks like he has a mild case of scaly leg mites .I have been fighting that for years .It just affects some of the chickens , some of the time .I have tried several brands of medicines ,and other treatments .But the best thing I have found is to submerge both legs up to the feathers, for 3 to 5 days in a row .It works ..If not treated ,it will get much worse .,and spread to your other chickens .
