chicks being fed cornmeal-help!!!

HAHAHA!!! the chicks are eating like kings if you ask me. Go to other countries and see what I have seen and you will realize chickens are scavengers and will eat almost anything. I have seen lots of Asians feed them mostly rice, eggs and even meats.
 
The Corn Meal isn't going to hurt them. It's ground fine enough for them to digest. A little grit wouldn't hurt either. The hard boiled eggs would be a great source of Protein.
Chickens ARRE scavengers, but omnivores is the proper term. They eat everything & people squirm when they see their birds after & eating mice, but that is what they do.
Before the Mad Cow scare & before Bird Flu or Bird Influenza became a house hold word, Chicken Feed used Meat & bone meal as it main ingreediance. Feed Manufacturers through a successful Ad campaign convinced (scared) people into believing that a vegetarian diet was better - it isn't. Chickens are not vegetarians, their omnivores. Meat contains the amino acids in a form that is better suited for chickens than the amino acids contained in vegetable matter. Serious Poultry Breeders generally will find things like Fish Meal to add to their poultry feed in order to give their birds the best diet they can
