Was building the chicken coop at a really fast rate, then my husband had to get emergency surgery! He had a 7mm kidney stone with a badly infected and swollen kidney. He also had a severe bladder infection and severe urinary tract infection. My poor love! All of your posts on here kept my spirits up while our little family was in the hospital. His surgery was a few days ago, and as soon as we got home, he insisted on working on the coop more! I tried to make him take it easy, but after being married to him for 11 years, I have learned that he has a stubborn streak, lol. Here is yesterdays picture. He built a "sliding floor" for easy coop cleaning, same concept as the ash tray on a BBQ grill. Though the sliding floor is not pictured for he built it after I took the photo.

I'm glad he is doing better. Poor guy. That is probably one of the most painful conditions to have. What a trooper!

Poor guy! I'm glad he had a great recovery! Your coop looks AWESOME!

My family consists of 1 DH, who is more tolerant than anyone should be; 5 children, ages 7 and under and one due any day now; 3 totally annoying dogs, and 12 chickens!

Wait for awhile. The dark pups will probably be chocolate. But some could be black. Any of the girls blond?

novaleigh- what a trooper your husband is!  Did he have to get them lasered out or did they make him pass them.  I had kidney stones and it was not fun.  I dont think I have even been sicker.  I am now deathly allergic to iodine from all the contrast test they did.

I love seramas!

my chickens eat everything except coffee grounds.  And they would probably eat those too if i let them.

all the peels from every vegetable we grow.  they fight over the tomatoes and spaghetti.

They had to laser it. It was an old kidney stone that was in his kidney for a long time. The stone caused so much damage that it built up a thick wall of scar tissue. They had to cut through all the scar tissue, keep it open with a stent, and laser the stone. They broke up the stone using the laser, but did not remove the shards. The shards are still making their way out of his body. I don't envy anyone who has had kidney stones. sickbyc.gif
